Our programs are all age appropriate and geared to children with a wide range of interests. The children in our camp live in many parts of the city, attending a variety of schools in town.  We are proud to present to you Camp Gan Israel of Indianapolis - the camp for every Jewish child! 

Our centrally located facility provides us with easy access to many of Indianapolis's attractions. Our spacious facilities are well suited to provide a full program of sports, games, crafts, specialties and other enriching camp activities. Our experienced staff members work to develop skills, confidence and a sense of fair play within each child.

Camp Gan Israel is known to truly care about every camper.

Gan Israel is much more than a physical break from the school routine and winter activities. It’s a comprehensive program designed to strengthen the body and soul. It provides your child with a rich and wholesome summer vacation of fun and excitement along with friendship and meaningful educational experiences. Jewish summer camps are known to be one of the most important components in strengthening Jewish pride in children of today. 

Staff

Child development is the most significant ingredient in a healthy camp experience. This is why our staff is the real secret to our success. Our specialty programs are led by experienced and personable professionals. Our counselors are known for their personal warmth and ability to care for each child as an individual. Many staff members return year after year, lending experience and continuity to all programs. Each counselor is a role model for our children, promising them friendship which will last forever! Their love for the children is surpassed only by the children’s love for them.

Culture - Jewish Pride 
Gan Israel campers are imbued with a deep sense of pride in their Jewish heritage and a love for the land of Israel. Judaic themes are taught through exciting activities, stories, songs, games and contests, which are part of the unique Gan Israel experience. Combined with group discussions and interactive, hands-on educational programs, these events bring to life the beauty and values of our tradition.  Children entering 2nd and higher, who do not read Hebrew, will receive special Hebrew tutoring. 
 
Activities & Special Events  (summer)
Our weekly program is enhanced with a wonderful sports program, special guest entertainers, family events, Music and Movement for the younger division, latenights, and oh, so much more! Our campers enjoy many artistic opportunities to design and take home some wonderful science or Judaica projects. A Jewish sumer camp in Indianapolis with all the trimmings! 

Trips On The Go 
Gan Israel’s “Trip Days”, which are well known, are geared to the children’s interests, are scheduled every Wednesday (and more often in the winter) and feature excursions to many attractions in and around Indianapolis. (Mini Gan Izzy campers do not join us for field trips unless your 4-year-old remains for extende day.)
